Google Mail—what?
Please tell me Google is playing a 4 month early April Fool’s joke on us. Google has recently changed the name of its Gmail service to be Google Mail.
Gmail has become one of the best e-mail services available and is well know as Gmail. What a great name! Why e-mail when you can Gmail? Now, Google goes and pulls a Microsoft-like marketing move by renaming it to the Google Mail services.
Lame.
Update: It seems that i must not have been the only person that didn’t like this idea as shortly after I made this post they have changed it back to Gmail. Interesting.
